Welcome to the Kajiado District Development Trust UK Charity Registration No: 1064837 A UK Charity Funding Water, Education & Health Projects in Southern Kenya Patrons: Right Rev'd Bishop Colin Buchanan (Retired) & Rev'd Ven. Judith Rose (Retired) |
|
We are a small charity, based in the United Kingdom, providing Funding and Funding Assistance, together with Project Management for agreed local community projects in the Kajiado District of Southern Kenya. |
|
It is with some regret that the Trustees have decided to take appropriate action to CLOSE THE CHARITY.
With effect
from later this year all the existing
trustees, There is a small possibility that someone else could take this work on but it would be with completely new organisational structure, bank accounts and operating base. Much has been achieved since the formation of the trust in 1997 (and before that with the four individual village trusts). Collectively all the sponsors have raised over £200,000, since 1997, to assist the local communities of the Kajiado District of Kenya. Many local communities' lifestyles have been enhanced. Your monies have helped to provide safe & secure water, schools, churches, multi-use buildings, famine relief, books, sports equipment etc. We are currently merging all our various accounts (funds) so that we will operate from a single bank account in the interim. We are also asking all our regular sponsors to cancel their Standing Orders to the charity with immediate effect.
With any monies that we still have available
we plan to
A VERY BIG THANK YOU to all our sponsors for |
