Other Education Projects.

Endikirr School.

The sponsor of Elang'ata Nanyukie school has also provided funds (100,000 Ksh) to complete a second classroom in this school.  Just the materials were supplied and the local community provided the labour.

Enjorro-e-Senteu.

We provided an Administration Block, consisting of a Head teacher’s Office, Storeroom and Staffroom with furniture.  It was built with concrete blocks with glazed, metal framed, windows and a mabati roof.  We also supplied funds for sand and cement to assist with construction of classrooms, sports equipment for school and 100 mabati sheets to help repair storm damage to school roof.

Komiya School.

KDDT[UK] first got to know about this school in October/November 2002.  Prior to KDDT’s involvement the school met under a nearby tree.  The school has been constructed using labour and materials provided by the local community. Funds provided by KDDT[UK] have enabled the provision of a concrete floor. Action Forum, in the UK, has also provided monies, through KDDT[UK] to purchase books and school requisites.

Oloilalei.

This is where the ‘vision’ for the trust originated.  The following have been provided:-

  • A Nursery School/Church, built using mabati.

  • School desks and benches for the students plus two chairs and a table for the teacher.

Isinya Area.

KDDT have provided the following:-

  • School desks on a 50:50 cost share basis.

  • Sports equipment for schools in the area.

  • Books, blackboard and various other items for Nalepo Nursery School.

KDDT[UK] have also supplied materials, books, furniture and / or sports equipment for various other schools in the Kajiado District.
