Development & Administration Funds.
KDDT[UK] has two particular 'funds' (accounts) to which monies can be given.
These are the Development/Project Fund and the Administration Fund.
Click on "How You Can Help" for further details.
Development/Project Fund:
This is used for funding projects and their related activities within the Kajiado District of Kenya. This includes the purchase materials and wages for local labour.
Since 1997 (till June 2009) just over £170,000 has been raised for this work.
Administration Fund:
This is used for funding our administration costs. This is mainly used for Air Fares to/from Kenya, non-related project expenses of the Project Manager and some of our ‘UK Office’ expenses (insurance, stationery, postage, etc).
Our UK office expenses are kept to the barest minimum. We employ no staff and the trustees and officers undertake all necessary work in an honorary capacity, even providing stationery, computing and printing facilities at their own expense.
Nevertheless without money being donated to the Administration Fund the trust could not exist. We do have a very small number of individuals who regularly give to this area of our work but we need additional help from other individuals and/or organisations to assist us. Please consider this aspect of the work when considering sponsoring KDDT[UK].
Since 1997 (to June 2009) just over £10,000 has been specifically given for this area of the work. This amounts to only 5.6% of the combined total for Project/Development and Administration monies received.

Direct Support to our Project Director, Roger Milton. Roger Milton, our Project Director, is not paid by the trust either whilst in the UK or during his trips to Kenya. He thus experiences a personal shortfall in finances whilst on KDDT[UK] business. This is particularly so whilst in Kenya. Roger is an artist and has met much of this shortfall, to date, by selling his paintings. Roger is looking for additional personal sponsorship so that he can devote more of his time to the trust. If you can help or know someone else who can please contact us and we will pass on your details to Roger. |
