How You can Help?

  1. Individuals and organisations can donate funds for specific projects in such as:

  • A school (from £5000 to £50,000).

  • Shallow wells, barrage/reservoir, rock water catchment or earth catchment (from £3000 to £15,000).

  1. Smaller specific donations for desks, books, sports equipment, water pump, school repairs etc at agreed locations.

  2. By giving regular monthly/annual donations (usually via Gift Aid) to cover:

  • Small projects (up to £4000).  These being shallow wells, water catchments, classrooms, floors - roofs - desks or books for existing schools.

  • Maintenance and insurance costs of capital equipment, owned by KDDT and used in Kenya, including a drilling rig and a 4WD vehicle and other associated costs.

  1. When necessary monies can be given to provide famine relief in times of drought.

  2. You can also give monies to help support our administrative costs, particularly for our Project Directors trips to Kenya.  Individuals can give by monthly/annual donation (usually via Gift Aid) or by one off gifts.  These costs are kept to a minimum.  Without these particular donations we would not be able to carry on the work.

Contributions can be as little or as much as you wish.  If you pay tax we are able to claim back the tax you have paid via the Gift Aid scheme.

We can guarantee that any money given for project/development work will only be spent on project/development work.

Thank you for your help

You can even choose the project that you want to support.  You can also visit Kenya (at your own expense) to select your project or to see progress or finished job.

We have had over 20 years experience of working in this area and with its people.  A number of useful contacts have been made with the local chiefs.  We have established good working relationships with the Water, Education and Health Authorities and have over the past years also worked with other large charitable organisations.  In addition we have the services of a fully qualified engineer, Mr Pietro Langiu, who has over 25 years experience of construction work in arid areas of southern Kenya.

Remember you can communicate directly with the people that you are helping and you have access to all officers of the charity.

If you would like to sponsor the KDDT[UK] and require a Gift Aid Declaration Form, or a Bankers Standing Order Form please contact us.

There are two further ways you can give:

  1. Via our 'Sovereign Account' with the "Stewardship Organisation".  Please see their web site at www.stewardship.org.uk for further details. If you would like to use this method of giving to our charity please contact us.

  2. If you shop online you can also help sponsor our charity by going to our new Fund Raising web site at www.simplefundraising.co.uk/2246   Just simply purchase something from one of a host of retailers and a donation is provided to our charity at no extra cost to you.
